Canada visa policy

Canada’s visa policy is based on your nationality, the purpose of your trip, and how long you plan to stay. Many travelers can visit Canada for short stays without applying for a visitor visa, but they may need an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) if they arrive by air. This is an online travel permission linked to the passport used in the application and is commonly used for tourism, visiting family or friends, and certain business travel.

If you are not eligible for an eTA, or your nationality requires a visa, you will usually need a Visitor Visa. This option is generally for tourism and short visits and does not allow paid work, and longer stays for study or employment typically require a study permit or work permit. As a visa processing agency, we can confirm which requirement applies to you, help you prepare the correct documents, and support you through the application process.

Freedom of movement (no document required)

Citizens of the United States are exempt from all visa and eTA requirements and can stay in Canada for up to 6 months. This includes Canadian-American dual citizens and US permanent residents (Green Card holders).
