Canada World Cup visa

Yes, you need a visa to attend the World Cup matches in Canada. However, there is no specific World Cup visa: depending on your nationality, you will need to apply for a visitor visa or eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization).

The eTA is an online authorization, not technically a visa, available only for specific nationalities. Its application process is completely online, and approval usually takes 48 hours.

The eTA is linked electronically to the traveler’s passport. It remains valid for 5 years or until the attached passport expires, whichever comes first. It grants the holder multiple entries of up to 180 days each.
