What is the Kenya eTA?
Kenya’s Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is a digital document that most visitors need to be granted entry into the country. It replaces the previous visa model with a fully online process, so you can apply from anywhere without visiting an embassy or dealing with paper forms.
To apply for the eTA, you’ll generally need a valid passport (usually with at least 6 months validity remaining), personal details, and trip information such as intended travel dates and where you’ll be staying (for example, accommodation details or an invitation letter). You may also be asked to upload supporting documents, depending on your travel plans and nationality.
You can start the process up to 90 days before traveling. Once approved, your eTA is issued electronically and is typically valid for a short stay (up to 90 days) with single entry.
