所有外國旅客必須在抵達尼泊爾時取得落地簽證，或在出發前申請預先簽證。
尼泊爾的簽證政策相當開放。多數國家的公民可在加德滿都的特里布萬國際機場，以及部分陸路邊境口岸取得落地簽證。或者，旅客也可以在出發前申請預先簽證。
旅客必須持有有效期至少六個月的護照。停留時間可依當地規定在尼泊爾境內延長。入境條件可能因國籍與入境口岸而有所不同。
