Guinea visa policy & requirements
Most travelers, including citizens of the US, UK, and EU, must apply for a visa before arriving in Guinea. Fortunately, you can sort everything from home ahead of time by applying for the eVisa.
Citizens of certain countries can enter Guinea without a visa, mostly ECOWAS member states in West Africa. If your nationality is not visa-exempt, the eVisa covers stays of up to 90 days for tourism and business. US and Canadian citizens are a notable exception: their eVisa can be issued for stays of up to 5 years.
One crucial thing to keep in mind: when you arrive at Conakry Airport, you'll need to present the eVisa registration receipt we send you at the designated counter, where border officials will complete the process. Entry into Guinea is not guaranteed until after that moment.
