Brazil visa policy & requirements
Most nationalities, including the EU, Mercosur countries and Japan, can enter Brazil visa-free for tourism, business, or transit, with a stay of up to 90 days (extendable once, for a maximum of 180 days within any 12-month period). However, since April 2025, citizens of the US, Canada, and Australia are required to apply for a Brazil eVisa before traveling, after the government ended their previous visa-free arrangement. The eVisa is multiple-entry and valid for up to 10 years for US citizens (5 years for Canadians and Australians).
Some nationalities, including China and India, aren't eligible for the eVisa and must apply for a traditional visa instead.
