The visa policy of Cuba states that all foreign citizens must apply for the eVisa.
As of July 1, 2025, the country has officially replaced its long-standing tourist card system with a mandatory electronic Cuba visa (e-Visa). This change modernizes the entry process by allowing travelers to apply online, removing the need for paperwork or consulate visits. Once approved, the eVisa allows one entry of up to 90 days. While in Cuba, travelers can request a one-time extension for another 90 days, for a maximum stay of 180 days.
Most foreign nationals must apply for an eVisa before traveling, except Canadian citizens flying directly from Canada: their eVisa is included with their airline ticket through agreements with Canadian carriers. Travelers must also complete the mandatory D’Viajeros form within seven days before arriving. This form collects health, customs, and immigration details and generates a QR code that must be shown at entry. Additionally, all visitors are required to have a passport valid for at least six months beyond their entry date, proof of travel insurance covering medical expenses, and a return or onward flight ticket.
